Product Description

It is truly a masterpiece, a beautiful original, and one of a kind.

Luxurious solid silver sugar bowl from the Louis XV period, signed by the renowned silversmith Edmond TETARD, recipient of the Minerve 1st Title hallmark (.950) and the Silversmith Master hallmark obtained in 1889. Gracefully resting on four scrolled feet adorned with leafy attachments, this sugar bowl features a richly decorated body with delicately highlighted and combed fluted ribs, adorned with a large asymmetrical cartouche monogrammed on the pediment, surrounded by rocailles, flowers, and reeds.

The interior of the sugar bowl is gilded, adding a touch of opulence with its fine gold plating on silver. This piece of silver craftsmanship is accompanied by the quality stamp of the prestigious silversmith, Edmond TETARD, who succeeded Emile Hugo in 1880. He was awarded the gold medal at the 1889 Universal Exposition, a distinction that attests to the exceptional quality of his work and that of his collaborators.

This large sugar bowl, in excellent condition, has been carefully inspected and cleaned by our silversmith, showing only a few micro-scratches that bear witness to its history and authenticity. Numbered and fully signed by the renowned dealer "MARTINCOURT," this exceptional piece measures 15 cm in height and has a total weight of 537.4 grams.
