This book was found among my grandparents books that I collected when they died. No one alive even knows who the pictures are of in the middle part of the book. This is a Harding Edition, so a Collectors Limited Edition, arranged for photographic portraits and family albums. It was published in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1863. So it is 160 years old, yet is preserved so incredibly well. It appears that it was possibly rebound at the spine, to better hold it together long term, but I can't find any older ones like this to compare it to to say for sure one way or the other. Regardless, the spine is sturdy, and the front and back are lined inside with a thick cloth material. No pages have any writing on them whatsoever. In amazing condition to be this old!
