IMPORTANT
A fault code reader is a micro computer that talks to your cars ECU if there are wiring problems with the 3 pin diagnostic plug or problems with your cars ECU the fault code reader may not be able to communicate with your car.
IF THE FAULT CODE READER WILL NOT SWITCH ON OR YOU GET THE USER MESSAGE 'UNABLE TO ESTABLISH COMMUNICATION'
1.You use the F2 push button to turn the ACT on
2. The red crocodile clip goes to the 12volt positive terminal on the battery or starter motor solenoid (is there a good connection) not connected on the wire insulation or the starter motor connection
3. Is the 3 pin plug connected correctly, the white 3 pin diagnostic plug may have a black rubber cover to keep the terminals clean (you can also have bad connections) or have the terminals been pushed up into the plug or socket. It is not the green socket that is for the alarm
4 Is the flash card inserted correctly, the copper terminals side of the card should be inserted first towards the very bottom of the act not the keyboard side of the ACT.
