Here we have two elegant and beautiful lined Sterling Silver small saucers that
can be also used to present candy's, nuts and such, during a dinner or event
reception.
"Passant Lion" certifying sterling silver 925, "leopard heads" for city of London, and
"f" for year and "RC" for maker halmark.
So, this pieces were made in 1961 by Richard Comyns. This prestigious firm
of manufacturing silversmiths was originally established by William Comyns
in 1859. The firm became "William Comyns & Son" in 1885 when both
Williams sons were admitted. William died in 1916 and in latter 1930, with
Richard Comyns as permanent director, the company was then stablished
as "William Comyn & Sons Ltd". Still exit's today after being bought in 1953
by "Bernard Copping" with premises at Tower Street, London, retaining "RC" -
Richard Comyns mark.
