This auction is for a vintage used copy of the 1964 CHARLIE And The CHOCOLATE FACTORY by Roald Dahl and illustrated by Joseph Schindelman. This is the original hardcover edition of the book.

This is a Borzoi Book published by Alfred A. Knopf Inc. and Manufacturered by Random House Inc.

I’m not completely sure what printing this is and I know there are various editions / releases of this book, so take that for what it’s worth.

This book definitely shows wear, mostly to the dust jacket, which has deteriorated over time. The dust jacket is very frail especially near the center binding. I observed a few other issues which include, but are not limited to, discoloration, minor stains, color fading, surface dirt and more. I did not observe any page rips/tears or major stains. Please reveal all photographs before purchasing. Regardless you get this item as is!

It is still in good displayable and usable condition in my opinion and a true classic with amazing “Tim Burton-like” illustrations!
