The engine was manufactured in the 1949 by Herkimer Tool & Model Works in Herkimer, NY. It features a one-piece cast
crankcase, lapped piston, and steel liner. It has a beam mount design.
The engine turns smooth with good compression. The plug
has been tested and glows bright. Red plastic spinner. Early SN: 14934.
