This map features the Delaware Raritan canal, completed in 1834 and the previous name of Princeton University which was called College of New Jersey, subsequently called Princeton University in 1896.  There appears to be a number seven (7) in upper right corner which is page number to a rare Everts and Stewarts Atlas of Mercer county, NJ.  Many professors names appear on the map and the Battlefield location of 1777.  Quite unique map printed on heavy stock paper.  This map was also prior to Andrew Carnegie's building of Carnegie Lake (1906), but there is a reference to University boat house location.   This map also shows parts of the Sourland Mountains and the famous Millstone River.  This is a copy from the famous Whitlock's Book barn in Connecticut and not original.  Current owners of Whitlock's were unable to locate the Atlas this map was copied from.  This map will be shipped rolled in a tube and not framed.   Would make a great wall hanging for any business in Princeton.
