Selling this rare coat, bought in my family in the designer atelier of Marc Le Bihan.

Rare pre-owned coat from Marc Le Bihan himself, very coveted designer for womenswear, it is rare that Marc does something masculine.

Marc Le Bihan: is the spiritual godfather of artisanal brands such as Paul Harnden Shoemakers, John Alexander Skelton, Geoffrey B. Small, Archivio J.M.Ribot, etc. for a very long time and before.

Even if I do not familiar with the term ‘avant-garde’ for clothes, I will say, Marc Le Bihan is one of the first DADA designers in the areas of ethical fields, of Breton origin with the Dadaist and Medieval influences, passing through neo-romantic to Victorian, Marc Le Bihan is a long-standing small niche business he remains a nonconformist symbol, he often preferred to sell by himself in his atelier in very small quantities, instead of entering the mainstream business market of the obscure ecology and greenwashing. 

Originally it is a reworked jacket from a vintage garment from the 1940s, dyed in black, interior lining dyed in dark green cotton, High collar or lapels, 100% wool English Tweed very warm with several pockets inside and outside and at the back.

This piece is very reminiscent of Paul Harnden and Greg Lauren who did the same thing, almost identically, but this one is a work from the original master, vintage garment, it was a time that Marc Le Bihan recycled old vintage garments and it was a time of ready-to-wear collection, each piece is 1/1.

If you are familiar to Greg Lauren, Paul Harnden Shoemakers stuff, you will love this one.

I really like this, but unfortunately it’s too big for my size. 

Conditions 8/10 some deliberate defects are part of the work.
