Up for auction is a set of four antique toy soldiers.

After searching, I am unable to identify these soldiers. I have seen them listed as early German soldiers, as Teddy, Roosevelt Roughriders from the Spanish-American war, as elastolin, and as composition. I am putting them up for auction, because I really don’t know the what they are made of and what war or country they represent.

There are two types of soldiers. Three are caring guns, and one is carrying a sword or bayonet of some kind. They all have mustaches two of them stand well and have some problems with their feet that could be fixed. Two of them are missing a hand.
