Palekh 1973 black lacquer miniature artist signed women's ring, size 7.5

This ring is beautiful and signed by the artist as Palekh, 1973 B.B (Bakanov Boris Leonidovich (1939 - 1993), in Russian.

The main art line of this ring is from the Russian fairy tale: "Fire bird" - similar to Phoenix bird in American literature.

The base surface is 1"L x 5/8"W. Sides are adorned with gold ornaments. The bottom width is 0.375".

Very rare item to find, especially signed by the artist with year and manufacturer's name.

FYI:"Palekh miniature (Russian: Палехская миниатюра) is a Russian folk handicraft of a miniature painting, which is done with tempera paints on varnished articles made of papier-mâché (including the creation of small boxes, cigarette cases, and powder cases). The term Palekh comes from the most famous of the three villages (Kholui, Mstera, and Palekh) in which Palekh painting originated. Ivan Golikov, a Palekh icon painter, derived the inspiration for this style from lacquered boxes he saw at the Kustar Museum in 1921."
