Up for sale is this wonderful grouping from the estate of a WWII USMC veteran named Henry P. Wheeler. Comes with his salty P41 jacket, private purchase Abercrombie and Fitch pants, and a studio portrait of him.

The jacket still has dirt and leaves from his duty in the Solomon Islands. Has his name written on the inside. Super neat detail of the collection.

Jacket measures:

Pit to pit: 23.5”

Length: 28”

Shoulder: 21.5”

Sleeve: 22”

The pants look like they had insulation in them at one point (or maybe it so sand from when the pants tore open, see repairs) that has disintegrated and is now dusty and collected on the bottom of the pants. The insulation or sand could be taken out of the pants if desired. Really cool to see a piece made by Abercrombie and Fitch used by a Marine during WWII.

Pants measure:

Waist: 33”

Inseam: 30.5”

Hip: 22” across

Rise: 14”

The photo comes with leather frame and has is name written in the corner.

Photo measures 8x10 inches.

Super cool display piece that will make a great addition to any collection! More research could be done on his service during the war.

Note: LAST PHOTO OF THE SEWING KIT AND NEWSPAPER CLIPPING ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING. THESE WERE ONLY INCLUDED TO SHOW PROVENANCE. WILL PROVIDE PHOTOCOPY OF NEWSPAPER CLIPPING UPON REQUEST.
