The Battle of Malakoff was a battle of the Crimean War between Russian troops and the French and British expeditionary forces on 18 June and 8 September 1855. it constitutes the decisive clash of the siege of Sebastopol. The French victory against the Russian defenders led to the fall of the city and helped hasten the end of the conflict.
