Song Thrush - Turdus Philomelos



The song thrush was once a familiar sight in this country but is now sadly in decline, they love to feed on snails and will use a stone as an "anvil" on which to break the shell of the snail, they also eat earthworm aswell as fruit and berries. The song thrush has a sweet song which gives it its name
