16 new dual spring valve springs
16 new heavy duty chrome moly retainers
32 new stock valve locks

Stay away from single springs! Pontiac never used them, either do I!

Parts used and manufactured for Pontiac engine builder and guru, Spotts Performance

The dual valve springs are “dropin” on 1965 to 1979 PontiacD-port factory heads(except early SD, some 67 Ram Air).

Also good for performance cams with under .470 lift and positive seals used. 
positive seals allow more retainer to seal clearance.

Make sure your machine shop is competent in checking clearances when using higher then stock cam specs of .406

Spring specs:

They install at 1.590 to 1.610– factory height.

1"coil bind – you need need/should have .080 from coil bind

Closed spring pressure is 95-105 lbs.

Open spring pressure is below 300 lbs. – the “happy” pressure to ensure cam break in and longevity.

ok to use steel shields - I usually do not. I recommend positive valve guide seals – check my other auction for those (not included with this auction –picture for reference) Not important for stock cams with .406/.408 lift (like 066 067 068 744 cams)

This kit is for hydraulic and small solidflat tappet cams. NOT recommended for any roller cam
