For sale is a incredible 1956 TYPE 1 Original Photo of Mickey Mantle. In this amazing posed portrait you see Mantle showing off his Louisville Slugger which was his pride and joy. The camera is capturing a 20x All Star and one of the greatest all around players to wear a Yankee's cap. People always talked about how great of a hitter "The Mick" was but he was a outstanding fielder. Along with his Triple Crown Award he received this year he also added a Golden Glove to his belt. He would also be awarded this year's MVP after beating the Dodger's in the World Series. This photo was taken by the famous Don Wingfield. Wingfield was a photographer for the Yankees and Senators along with The Sporting News and Topps. His work has graced the pages of Life, Time and Look Magazines. This photo is Credited to the Sporting News. This photo has been Authenticated by PSA DNA as a TYPE 1 ORIGINAL Photo. This photo is not date stamped but I did sell another copy in the pass that was stamped August 15th 1956. The size is 8 x 10 inches and is in Good Condition. There is a small corner crease on the bottom left corner. As well with a spot on the grass which is not noticeable unless under high light. This is truly an amazing image of one of my favorites of Mantle. Mantle photos shot by Wingfield are one of the most desirable Mantle photos in the hobby so please don't hesitate!
