The Case:

The Squale 1521 Full Militaire 1521FUMIWT.ME20 is housed in a 42mm case that is made from polished 316L stainless steel, which is a material that is commonly used in dive watches due to it being extremely resistant to corrosion from elements such as seawater. A black 120-click rotating bezel sits on top of the case, it exhibits a luminous 60-minute count up scale that can be used to measure elapsed time underwater. It also features a screw-down crown that is located at the 4 o’clock position, preventing it from digging into the wearer’s wrist and makes it less likely to catch on obstacles when diving. The anti-reflective treated sapphire crystal glass provides the watch with protection against scratches and shattering.

The Dial:

The dial is presented in white and is fully coated in highly luminous Superluminova C3 material that absorbs and stores light energy, subsequently emitting it as a glow in even the darkest depths of the ocean. It showcases a highly legible design through baton-style hour markers The hour markers are encircled by a 60-minute track that is presented through thin black baton-style minute markers. The black baton-style is coated in Superluminova C3 for visibility in the darkest of conditions. The Squale shark logo, synonymous for reliable dive watches, can be found at the 6 o’clock position.
