Eleanor Farjeon Lot of two hardcover books in dust jackets. Both books are from a smoke-free home and from the personal collection of children’s book author Berthe Amoss.


Book 1: “The New Book of Days, 1st American Edition. Dust jacket shows considerable rubbing and toning and shipping, especially at edges and corners. Double clipped on front flap. Mrs Amoss has written her name and address on the first blank page. Boards show some rubbing and bumping along with spotting and darkening. Interior shows toning. Some wrinkling to pages. Outer page edges show some toning and spotting especially at top. A few other places show some scuffing and overall toning. Binding is tight. Bottom of boards near spine show dark toning and a small damaged spot. Top of boards near spine show the same, some damage there and at corners. Please see pictures for complete condition.


Book 2: Italian Peepshow, 1960, first edition of this Oxford University press edition. Some severe chipping and tears to dust jacket along with considerable amount of rubbing and wrinkling especially along edges. A little bit of water damage to the interior of the dust jacket along with some spotting on the cover. No liquid damage to interior of book. Some wrinkling to pages throughout some spotting. Plenty of spotting and toning to Paige edges and dust jacket.
