The only qualification for those wanting to join is that they must score in the top 2 per cent in a properly standardised intelligence quotient (IQ) test. In the last 50 years Mensa has grown dramatically and its name is now known worldwide. There are well over 100,000 members in 100 countries, including many famous people.
