This item has been Preowned and is in fair condition at best . Includes both bookends . Made I believe of Lead and does seem to be very malleable .So this would be better served as a stand alone display with maybe a few books in the middle of  them as I believe too much force to them will break them

I did not clean or repair them just left as I acquired them .Over a hundred years old and they do seem to be quite rare nowadays .Please note the condition in the pictures .One of the pieces of wood has split from the metal with the screws going through it ( I did not try to reattach it ,It could be as simple as rescrewing them the 4 screws into the wood  -I just left it AS IS ). These weigh approx. 7 pounds unpacked

Copied from only reference I could find online for  them :These bookends were produced for the 33rd triennial centennial conclave held in Los Angeles June 17-24, 1916. The set is featured in the new bookend collector book: Bookends Objects of Art & Passion The authors Robert and Donna Seecof have a bookend collector website that features the set that is in their book.
