For more than thirty years, Barbara Eigen has been creating distinctive and colorful home accessories for specialty shops and retailers across the country. Starting with studios in a Soho loft in 1977, her company, Eigen Arts, has garnered a national reputation for fun, fresh original shapes and colors.

At first, her ceramic tabletop products were made on a potter's wheel and molded after real fruits and vegetables. Today Barbara and her staff of ten produce their ceramic pieces using molds they create from handmade models. The artisans make their own glazes and hand dip and paint all the pieces.

Over the years, Eigen Arts' product range expanded greatly to include vases, planters, and bath accessories, as well as linens. To serve larger customers, such as Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma, and Pottery Barn, Eigen Arts designs and imports ceramic and glass products.

Her collection of brightly hued ceramic bud vases are offered in three charming shapes and shades. Made in Portugal, each earthenware piece is glazed by hand and can be grouped together for a dynamic burst of color.

You may have seen Eigen Arts product in such magazines as Metropolitan Home, Martha Stewart Living, and Bon Appétit. Eigen-designed dinnerware can be found at Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma, and Pottery Barn.
