8x in Rands terms is a 50/50 Beaver/Rabbit Blend Felt. The color is Black Cherry and at different angles the hat color changes or varies slightly. Very cool hat. This hat looks almost black but has deep red coming through. Hard to show how great this color is in the photos.
The sweatband was changed locally because it was damaged.
