Unusual antique copper engraved view of Santiago, Chile, by Arnoldus Montanus (1625-1683) & Jacob Van Meurs (1617-1680).


Arnoldus Montanus was a Dutch teacher and author. He published books of theology, history and geography. His most famous book is "De Nieuwe en Obekende Weereld" (in Dutch edition) or "Die Unbekante Neue Welt" (in German edition), or "The New and Unknown World: or description of America and the Southland" (in English edition). 


Jacob van Meurs was a Dutch engraver and publisher from Amsterdam. Active from 1651 to 1680, he specialized in works of geography, and history.

Condition : good condition, a small repair in lower part.
