The American Flyer Prewar O Gauge 570 New York Central Hudson Steam Locomotive and 563 Die Cast Tender are both in GOOD cosmetic condition, however, the engine does not run.   As indicated in the "Condition Description" this engine & tender are part of a large American Flyer Prewar O Gauge collection which I have purchase and according to the owner have not been operated for over 40 to 50 years.  This die cast American Flyer Prewar O Gauge Steam Locomotive & Tender have been either displayed or boxed for that number of years until I purchased them.  I did bench test the steam locomotive and it would only stand idle and "hum".  I could hear the 2-position E-unit make a "snap" noise every time I would turn the transformer's direction lever.   Also to note the front headlight did not light-up (possibly a loose bulb connection or broken wire).  I was able to manually rotate the armature beneath the cab and determine that it at least needed some lubrication & cleaning.  I am not too familiar with American Flyer Prewar O Gauge locomotive repair, especially steam locomotives. This is a nice looking steam locomotive & tender and I believe it issues could possibly be resolved with an extensive internal cleaning & lubrication since it has not been operated for 40 to 50 years.  This die cast steam locomotive and tender are being sold "AS IS".  The stated shipping cost only applies to the "lower 48 states".  If any questions please email.
