I purchased the sunglasses from some folks in Boulder, Colorado. I was told that these sunglasses were only tried on to find the right size and never really worn again and looking very closely at these sunglasses, it’s entirely believable as they are in excellent condition and look brand new. The hinges are still tight and there are no signs of any cracks or scuffs or anything that would suggest that they’ve been anywhere but in the case, inside the liner bag, since purchased. Considering the retail price on these was anywhere from $300-$350 when they were available, I wondered why they didn’t just return them and get their money back? Well, like I said in the beginning, they live in Boulder- where money is never a big concern.

It doesn’t appear that Maui Jim’s makes the titanium framed sunglasses anymore, so this model is becoming more and more rare, especially in this condition. The other great thing about this model of Maui Jim sunglasses is that I’ve never seen a fake / knockoff /counterfeit, probably because there’s no other less expensive metal that can pass for titanium. It takes special equipment to form the frames (melting point over 3000F).

I’ve seen these advertised as men’s or women’s sunglasses, but I think that they are truly a unisex style and look good on nearly anyone. The size shown on the frame is 52.5 / 17-133.
