Apple Macintosh PowerBook G4 A1107 17" PowerPC G4 Processor 1GB RAM. This unit is in overall great shape. This is a 17" PowerBook G4, one of the last PowerBooks Apple made before the transition to the "MacBook" name. It was released on January 31, 2005. This PowerBook has a 1.67 GHz G4 Processor, 1GB of RAM, an optical drive, a 100GB HDD, and many other features. The only issues it has are that the battery does not charge (It charged not that long ago but has decided somewhere in the software it seems to not let the battery charged, see picture with power status). I don't know if the DC Power Input board is no longer working or if it is software related, but other than that the laptop works great. There are no major dents or damages I have noticed on it, the pictures can provide a more complete description of the condition though. Many of the case screws are missing, but I was able to find screws to replace most of the missing ones. The keyboard has some minor wear on a few of the keys where the paint has partially rubbed off with use. The DVD/CD drive works great, it just occasionally takes a couple tries to get it to eject properly. It reads disks great and can burn them as well. These particular units were known for a lot of display issues because there was a bad batch of panels installed in PowerBooks with similar serial numbers to mine. The LCD Panel in this unit has been replaced last month with another used panel that does not have the common fail points, so I am hoping the computer lasts years to come for the next user. The new screen looks very nice and does not have vertical lines like the old one did. It comes with its original 65 Watt Apple Charger. Overall, it is a great old laptop and I'd like to see it get used again! It will be factory reset prior to shipping.
