Description

Up for your consideration is an original photo titled "Pops in His Patio", by Aubrey Bodine (American, 1906-1970). The lower margin of this photograph reads "'Pops in His Patio', To a Grand Old Man who hung prints in his first year of exhibiting / A. Aubrey Bodine, 1944". It depicts Joseph "Pops" Woodson Whitesell and 

an older woman at his French Quarter home. The work is floated in a gilt frame against a black background. 

The photograph is in excellent condition, nicely matted, and housed in a quality wood frame. The picture measures 18 1/2" x 14 1/2", and the frame measures 26" x 20". There are two auction records for similar pieces, one sold for about $650, and the other was nearly $1000. This is a rare and desirable photo.

Refunds: Refunds are available, but we must be contacted within 7 days after receiving the item. If a refund is requested, the buyer is responsible for all return shipping fees. The refund will be made once the item is back in our possession, and that it arrives in the same condition that it was sent.
