Nice and unusual large antique copper engraved plan of Strasbourg by Homann Heirs, with a nice panoramic view of the city in the lower part of the map.

The map is embellished with a nice cartouche in the center of the map.

Johann Baptist Homann was the most prolific map publisher of the 18th century. He founded his company in 1702. In 1705, he became the geographer of the Emperor Charles VI. In the same year, he was also Member of the Prussian Academy of Sciences in Berlin. After his death, the fabric takes the name of Homann Hrs.
