This is a great little book about the Hall of Famer Goose Goslin, published in 1935. It has a cover illustration of Mr. Goslin with a drawing of a Bengal tiger over his shoulder.

It has fifteen pages, and its original cover price was fifteen cents.

There is an inscription in pencil on the front cover, "To Charlotte from Your Admirer the "Goose" .
I thought it was signed by Mr. Goslin, but PSA/DNA said it was not, so I am characterizing it as an inscription by an unknown hand.

It has a copyright date of 1935 by Herman Rosen Wasser and William A. MacArthur. It was published by The Diamond Press, 401 Court Street, Port Huron, Michigan.

Inside is a biography of Mr. Goslin and his advice to young people. There is one photograph on the last page, a photo from the Detroit Free Press dated October 19th, 1935, showing Mr. Goslin presenting the bat used to win the 1935 World Series to Harold Kuder, that year's head of Old Newsboys Goodfellows, a charity organization.

The Detroit Tigers beat the Chicago Cubs in the 1935 World Series; it was their first World Series win.

Mr. Goslin (1900-1971) played in the major leagues from 1921-1938. He played for the Washington Senators, St. Louis Browns, and the Detroit Tigers. He won the AL batting title in 1928 with a .379 batting average, hit over .300 in eleven seasons, and played on two World Series Championship teams. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1968.
