Add a little fishy finesse to a favourite fish dish and what a (fish) tale this pair have behind them. The knife has its etched face/scales - George Clark (Sheffield) Ltd - Firth Brearley Stainless. Then on the back of the handle ''VOLUTO'' PAT NO.398669 RD 781599. The fork is stamped Firth Staybrite on the back. Do a patent search to discover a detailed description of the knife. Designed by George' son Douglas, the VOLUTO name relates to the twist/volute which determines the divide between handle & blade - all one piece with a twist! Brought out in 1933, unfortunately the knives never really took off and the press / workshop was destroyed in WWII. If looking on an app - press the right arrow next to 'Item Details' to reveal my condition information/description.Thanks for looking and any questions, please ask
