Columna Nubis Diurna.

By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.

Original 18th century antique copperplate print with hand coloring by Johann Jakob Scheuchzer (1672-1733), published in his "Physica Sacra," Printed by Christian Wagner, Augsburg and Ulm, Pfeffel, 1731-35.
