For Sale is Canon
ST-E2 Speed Light Transmitter for Canon’s IR Speedlite flash models 420EX,
430EX, 430EXII, 550EX, 580EX, and 580EX II.
I’ve even used this transmitter with Canon 270EX II & 600EX-RT
flashes. It works flawless and is in
excellent condition. The battery
compartment is clean; I never kept batteries in the battery compartment when
not in use, so there was never type any battery leakage. Also included is a copy of the English
owner’s manual printed full-sized for easy reading; and two lithium 2CR%
batteries (one was never used and the other just a few times).
These are becoming
rare, and hard to find since Canon switched their wireless flashes from IR to
radio. So, if you want more natural-looking lighting and have a previous
generation Speedlite this is the easiest and cheapest option (you could always
spend $549 on a bulky 600EX-RT).
Off-camera flashes
capture a photography subject in more natural-looking illumination than a flash
mounted directly to a camera. To operate your off-camera flash, you can set it
as a slave to be controlled by an on-camera master transmitter (Canon Speedlite
ST-E2). The Canon Speedlite ST-E2 wireless
transmitter communicates with your Canon IR flashes, so they fire in sync with
your camera.
