Rockford Grade 375, Model 2, 21j, 12 size, ca.1908, in SOLID 14k GOLD case. A scarce model and seldom seen in a solid gold case.  The Grade 375 Model 2 movement is itself rare and special, so much so that a 375 Grade movement was reportedly used by Rockford's Owner and President Jacob Franks in his own personal watch. Only 600 of these high grade movements were produced, giving it a two star or higher rarity grade. As for the 14K case.... relatively few solid gold cases were produced, and only a handful from this era have survived until today, as you see this is a very nice example indeed. The watch has been in a private collection for many years, and this may be the first time it's been offered publicly. As you see the movement looks beautiful, it winds and sets smoothly, and runs strong. Dial has faint hairlines you can see if you look closely at the magnified photos. View all 20 photos for a good look. You will receive the watch you see. Use the zoom for super closeups. Don't miss it, you are unlikey to ever see another like it. Detailed movement specs are shown below.
