The Case:

The Seiko Conceptual SUR373P1 is housed in a 40.2mm diameter case, with a slim profile of just 8mm. It is crafted out of titanium – a material which has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of all known metals. The design of the case adheres to the design codes of a classic dress watch through minimalist complications such as, a slim fixed bezel and a push/pull crown located at 3 o’clock. Sapphire crystal glass provides the watch with optimum protection against scratches and shattering.

The Dial:

The dial is presented in a blue tone with a sunburst finish. It showcases a simplistic design through a polished dauphine handset, polished baton-style indices and a framed date-window at 3 o’clock. The handset and tips of the hour markers have been treated with a luminous coating which allows the dial to be read in the dark.

The Bracelet:

The watch is presented on a classic 3-link titanium bracelet that has been treated to a brushed finish. Titanium is almost 40% lighter than stainless steel and has an oxide layer on its surface that does not react to the human body which makes it almost entirely resistant to corrosion. The bracelet secures around the wrist through the use of a push-button deployment clasp.

The Functions:

This timepiece is powered by Seiko’s Japanese-made 6N52 quartz calibre movement that has a battery life of 36 months and an accuracy rating of +/- 15 seconds per month. It is water resistant up to 100 metres, which means that it is possible to swim or snorkel with the watch on, but it is not appropriate for diving.
