For sale is an incredible 1974 TYPE 1 Original Photo of Evel Knievel. In this awesome portrait you see Evel speaking during a press release for his newest death defying stunt. He was in New York showing off his newest idea of jumping Snake River Canyon. Evel was a thrilling daredevil and stunt performer executing 75 ramp to ramp motorcycle jumps throughout his career. Evel was known for trying to turn the impossible to reality. On Sept 8th 1974 he would sit on his X-2 Skycycle which looked more like a rocket than a motorcycle and take air. Unfortunately his parachute opened on takeoff ending in a failed attempt to reach the quarter-mile jump. After more than 20 crashes and 433 broken bones throughout his career Evel would finally hang up his keys.

This photo is date stamped November 20th 1975 which is a year after it was taken in New York. This falls in line with PSA and their 2 year timeframe of being developed off the original negative. Since the slug has been removed there is no credit on the reverse side. The size is 8 x 10 inches and is in Good Condition. There is editorial writing on the top front border dating 1977 when this photo was used to publish, which was most likely when he made his film. There is also some spotting on the left border. This is an awesome photo of Evel which you don't see that often and will sit well in any photo collection.
