MPC 2000 + ZuluSCSI & Gotek USB Floppy Emulator
These 2 mods allow you to boot the mpc, store and save your sounds/samples without the traditional floppy drive the mpc 2000 was made for. If one fails for any reason, you have a backup available at your disposal.
The ZuluSCSI is from BOOT DISK AND CHILL. Its preloaded with sounds already for you to use. You can take the microSD out and plug into your computer to add your sounds as well.
Which ever you decide to boot from, the other must be detached from the MPC so it knows where to boot from.
For the ZULUSCSI, DO NOT unplug the SCSI while the MPC is turned on, the MPC 2000 classic specifically is NOT hot swappable. You will blow the fuse and have to repair it or power the SCSI via microUSB
DEFECTS:
• There are knobs missing on the main volume button and rec gain(top left 2nd slide)
•The note variation slider is broken and knob is missing.(bottom left slide 2/ slide 5
- If using the gotek usb, you have to power on mpc without it first, THEN insert it after mpc gives you the disk read error. Again you'll have the Zuluscsi that'll boot and read straight away not needing the gotek.
Getting replacement knobs are cheap and easily available. I recommend MPCstuff.comThis MPC also has 8 outs.
