V-belts are an often underestimated component in the scooter drive. A common problem caused by wear and tear is a loss of adhesion between the variator and the clutch, which causes the V-belt to slip. If the belt is worn, there is a loss of power during the acceleration phase or a reduced top speed can be the result.

The V-belt should be replaced at least every 5,000 kilometers.
