They've had a clean, and inspection. The latches which are of course later, have been stripped down and cleaned, plus a couple of puffs of graphite powder for dry lubrication. 

Theses are as ready to go as the day they were made, ergonomically satisfying to use and able to blend into your period restoration, or add some depth of character to what ever your intended use.
