Vincent Willem Van Gogh (1853-1890)
He was born on March 30, 1853 in Groot Zundert, Holland (Netherlands) and had, due to his extreme sensitivity as an artist, a very tormented life.
Son of a Protestant pastor, he made his first drawings in his father's house.
Post-impressionist painter, he had an enormous influence on 20th century art.
