The VENUS RISING figurine is said to have been developed following discussions between the Imperial Glass Corporation and Mirror Images.

Mirror Images was a company owned by Roni and George Sionakides and Orie Scherschligt in Eaton County in the state of Michigan in the United States.

The 6.5 inch high Bashful Charlotte flower frog mould that the Imperial Glass Corporation acquired following the closure of the Cambridge Glass Company, was re worked to remove

the flower arranging holes.

​The Venus Rising figurine is not a flower frog because it does not have the flower arranging holes that are usually seen on flower frogs.

However these figurines look splendid when set within the flowers of a table top float bowl display.

The Imperial Glass Corporation produced the Venus Rising figurines for Mirror Images to sell on to collectors.

The Venus Rising figurines can vary slightly in height.

They are also marked on the underside with IG-81.

They are seen in the following colours Midnight Magic (black), Green Godess (light green)

Sunmaid (yellowish), Carmelita (brownish slag) and other colours of slag glass,

Ruby Sunset (amberina), Forever Amber (amber), Pink Pixie (pink), Blue Belle (blue), Yellow, Opaque Blue, Dark Green, Opaque Green, Irish Lass (green), Azure Princess (blue), Empress Jade and Crystal in a clear and frosted finish with other colours possible.
