Currently not road legal, should go through an MOT without too much work, however it certainly isn't a minter.

Starts and drives ok, and has bags of character, body is coachbuild W. B. Cuncliffe.

Good Points

Injectors were serviced a few years back so should be in great shape

Front axle was rebuild before the last MOT (2022) New kingpins fitted, bearings, disks and pads, fully painted etc

Rear axle was replaced a few years back and was painted and brakes serviced before fitting

Engine has been particularly reliable, and although smoky (See "Bad Points" below) has never failed to start

Chassis was welded up and repaired when i bought it, then painted and undersealed, still looks in great shape

Rear doors were rebuilt a few years ago where they had corroded / swollen, now open and close nicely

Front folding door was serviced before last MOT and works smoothly

Inside has been stripped of seats and turned into a camper, with bed, seating storage cooker etc, fairly spartan but is lovely and comfortable, bed requires some foam / mattress but is massive and can be folded up into seating as required. Cooker is a vintage "Flavel Radford II" double burner plus grille

LED lighting and electric water pump for tap in cab

Recently fitted NOS tow bar, lowered on  dropper plates to clear the rear skirt, ball is at a sensible height and electrics work. 

Original drivers seat was beyond saving so has been replaced with a MK2 escort seat, really comfy on a run.

Fitted with the 2.5l Peugeot Non turbo engine

Electrically sound, lights, horn wipers all working

Massive space in the back and loads of storage for camping,  blinds / curtains to close off the windows and separate the cab from the back.

Underslung Gas cylinder for cooker (Accessed through spare wheel door behind the main door.)

Bad Points

V5 Registered as "Van with side windows" not a problem but it isn't registered as a camper, this isn't a problem legally but may cost a little more for insurance however i have never really found this to be the case and usually insure for camper purposes through Adrian Flux. 

As expected there are some rust issues, as far as i am aware none are MOT'able but will need some attention to keep the vehicle in good shape, for me the worst point is the area underneath the battery where the wing joins the inner

Engine oil leak, for most of the time i have owned the van it has had a minor oil leak from the crank seal, this has got worse over time and i have a new crank seal and sump gasket ready to fit (I had planned to do it but never got round to it.)

Engine is smoky and idles rough when cold, usually cleans up when warm, however when i warmed it up fully the other day it continued to smoke and idle fairly rough, i make no promises but bet a bit of fresh diesel and a run and it would go back to it's old behavior.

Windscreen seal leaks, not badly as the worst point has been gaffa taped up, however van is supplied with a brand new unused seal

Side window leaks, the seals on these will need repair / replacement at some point, i haven't noticed the inside of the van getting wet but some of the seals will need attention (Thinned down CT1 is a good quick fix!) 

The structure to support the skirt around the bus is quite rotten, however it hasn't got much worse over the last 14 years, isn't MOT'able and is of basic box section construction, easy enough to weld some new bits in.. 

Currently no heater fitted, although one from a convoy is supplied which i have modified to fit, needs some minor fettling to finally fit but is essentially there

Several spares are included in the sale, please see photos, most are used but the windscreen seal, sump gasket and crank seal are new, most others are usable spares, brake drums, wheel nuts, front hubs etc
