2006 A.N.A. Convention Elongated 1c ~ Denver Mint 100th Anniversary ~ NGC MS65 RD

ANA ELONGATED CENT CONDITION/APPEARANCE:
TOP POP - Brilliant Gem — Designated “RED” by NGC
Pedigree: Struck on 1963 1C
This example is stunning. A completely red penny with sharp legends/lettering. The original obverse of the 1963 Lincoln Memorial Cent is somewhat difficult to see on the reverse; I was only able to locate it after NGC pedigreed it as such. — A beautiful overall specimen. — This particular example resides at the “top” of NGC’s population report, tied with no others.*

ANA ELONGATED CENT BACKGROUND:
Struck by the TEC (The Elongated Collectors) at the 2006 ANA’s World Fair of Money in Denver, Colorado to recognize the Denver Mint’s 100th anniversary, as well as the convention itself.

(*TOP POP* NGC Pop = 1; NONE Finer - NGC Total Pop = 1) [03/2024]
