This listing is for a Antique Horseshoe.Appears to be made from bronze.

The nature of Bronze items,is that they don't emit sparks-Therefore they made items manufactured from this material, ideal for use in areas that were used to manufacture or store volatile or explosive substances.Horses with iron shoes in such a enviroment, would've been a great hazard-Therefore,the shoeing with a Bronze substitute, was a ideal safety choice.

This example, therefore, possibly dates from the early 20th century. It is quite small,at approx' 3 3/4" in length and therefore, would've been made for a small horse or pony.It is unused and as cast.No markings or manufacturers name are present.

A unusual item, that is now not often encountered.
