A fabulous and very kitsch original 1950s flower vase with a design so typical of the atomic/sputnik era!

Made of press moulded clear glass which has a ribbed texture and a waisted body. It has a very unusual and very striking ice/icicle textured section around the middle.

The ribbed section is spray painted on the outside with a matt black paint.

Although I am unsure of the manufacturer's name, I know this particular type of vase was also made in other colours including red, green, blue and yellow. Very collectable!

The vase measures approximately:

25cm tall

11.5cm diameter across the top rim and at the base

It weighs approximately 763g

Condition is good. Some very small pin hole flecks of paint missing (see last photo) but as you can see this is extremely minor.  There are no chips, cracks or nibbles.
