The Haiti 20 Gourdes Banknote was issued by the Bank of the Republic of Haiti in 2001 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the constitution. It has a color combination of brown, red, and orange. Its obverse portrays revolutionary, Francois-Dominique Toussaint Louverture. It also shows embossed gold foil patches, a laurel wreath, and a Billet Commemoratif du Bicentenaire de la Constitution de T. Louverture overprint. The reverse displays an open book with the Constitution of 1801. The note contains a gold foil stripe with designs, a solid security thread with demetallized HAITI and flags, and a watermark that reveals a palm tree. The note measures 163 x 70 mm and is signed by Reginald Mondesir, Hancy Pierre Louis, and Venel Joseph. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
