This lovely 1964 reissue Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster is from my extensive personal collection which I am reducing.

Made in November 2019, this 1964 Stratocaster is a commission from Anderton’s to the Fender Custom Shop. They occasionally commission one like this and currently have the same model for sale at £5,199.

This example is exactly as purchased new, with all the correct tags and Custom Shop certificate (signed by Chris Fleming). The Custom Shop case is perfect.

The body is lightweight two-piece selected Alder. The neck is Maple with C profile and the fingerboard is AAA grade Rosewood with 9.5” radius, 21 narrow tall frets and mother of pearl marker dots. The nut is bone.

The guitar weighs 7lbs 14 oz.

The pickups are Fender Custom Shop ‘65s with Alnico V magnets. There is five-way switching with Fender Vintage Modified #1 wiring meaning there is tone control to the bridge pick-up.

The tremolo arm is present, although not shown in the pictures.

The back of the neck is classed as heavy relic and the body as relic. The finish is a particularly attractive shade of faded Fiesta Red in nitro-cellulose.

This gorgeous guitar offers absolutely classic Stratocaster tones with nicely controlled variations available.

The full spec is on the Fender workshop sheet shown in the photos
