*Up for sale here is a rare embossed pre pro whiskey from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This nice amber colored example, closely resembles the much more common Duffy's Malt Whiskey bottle. This example is sparkling clean, and is in very good shape. There is a small flat chip on the back side edge of the bottle, and a very thin partially open bubble on the front. Please see all the pictures, as they tell the best story. Bottle would date from about 1900, and is hand blown.

*It is nicely embossed within an oval watermelon slug plate, as it reads ~ "THE JOHNSTON CARMICHAEL Co. / PITTSBURG, PA." The "H" was left out in Pittsburgh on the bottle. On the base it has the number "1" embossed. This tall skinny quart measures 11 3/4 inches tall, and 3 1/4 inches in diameter. You will be quite pleased with this piece of pre pro whiskey distillery history, from southwestern Pa.
