A very stylish and wonderfully made silver plated fold out double cake plate. I am not sure of its actual use but it seems perfect for cakes. It’s clever design allows it be folded up when not in use. It would be a fabulous thing to take out on a picnic.

Stamped to the base of both plates to show it was made by Hukin & Heath with the retailers stamp of Garrard & Co.

Due to its style I would say it was made circa 1925 during the art deco period.

It is in an excellent condition being free from any repairs or damage.

There are no signs of the base metal showing through or any thin areas.

Excellent working order.

The plates both measure 19.6cm.

The handle is 14.5cm in height.
