hi,

venerable ancient and rare morley rotating wah volume... kinda a weird analog leslie simulator utilizing an oil can echo to do the modulation.
very cool effect! very rare, and wobbly sounding. this is an old morley, and the wah sounds great in it. ask lots of questions!

its huge, weighs a tonne, but man, does this thing sound great.... you can really get some cool tones out of it.

my son and i replaced the motor in this during the covid thing... can be read about on the oilcan addicts forum. the spring had stopped the motor, and it had caught fire and burned. all this was replaced, repaired, and works again. there IS some oil residue inside beneath the mechanicals soaked into some ancient paper towel.
it has been recapped, the heads have been properly aligned, the can internals have been cleaned and serviced, the hood and shade assemblys have been restored as well. a new spring for the variation control had to be manufactured. this literally pulls on the post that rotates the flywheel and makes the unit "wobble"....
there is a tiny bit of mechanical noise on unlevel surfaces, but it does NOT transmit from the amp, and can be adjusted by playing with the 4 mounting bolts under the chassis. it has fresh ub-65 fluid inside, and a nos modulation depth pot, a big 1 watt 100k wah pot...
since these pictures were taken, it had that crummy looking yellow tape removed, as well.
still kinda ugly... but works great.

this is a super rare, vintage piece. it MAY need minor mechanical adjustment upon arrival, so be mindful of this.
it is mechanical, and quirky, and may require some occaisional adjustment down the road. i can offer limited email support or repair, as well if needed down the road.
