4-SPEED, LOADED WITH OPTIONS!!
This 1966 Pontiac GTO is wearing its factory color, Montero Red, code R, with white interior. The paint has a nice smooth glossy clear coat finish. It has a nice fit and finish and is straight down both sides. All of the chrome and trim is really nice. In the front; the headlight bezels, front bumper and grill are nice, shiny and in great shape. All brightwork has been replaced or polished. The glass is in good condition, all the power windows go up and down with ease. In the back; the trim, rear bumper, moldings and taillights are nice. It has an optional power rear antenna. It sits on a set of factory Rally I Wheels with nice trim rings and factory correct center caps wrapped in a set of BFG T/A radial raised white letter tires.
The interior is in great shape, the white seat upholstery and seat foam has been replaced. In between the bucket seats is a factory 4 speed center console with a factory Hurst shifter with an optional wood shift knob coming out of it. The console also has an optional factory vacuum gauge mounted on it. The door panels, armrest bases, pads, door handles, carpet, headliner and rear package tray have all been replaced. The dash has the optional Rally gauges and a factory tach which work as they should. Other features include an AM/FM radio. It has a nice dash pad, front and rear factory seatbelts and nicely painted door jambs with nice sill plates.
The engine compartment is nicely detailed with its period-correct 389 ci engine with tri-power. The engine has been completely rebuilt. It has chrome Pontiac valve covers, factory exhaust manifolds, 4-core aluminum radiator and under the hood insulation. Other features include factory A/C, power steering and upgraded power front disc brakes. The core support, firewall and under the hood are painted in a nice black finish. Great for car shows and cruise-ins!
The undercarriage has very solid original floors that are painted in a satin black finish. The front suspension has been upgraded to tubular A-arms and front disc brakes. The bottom of the motor and transmission are clean. It has a Muncie M20 transmission, 3:08 Safe-T-Track rear end, new rear air shocks, newer fuel tank, sending unit and fuel tank straps. All E-brake cables are hooked up and working. It has a nice aluminized dual exhaust system that runs all the way to the rear of the car.
The trunk is clean original metal with a coat of splatter paint, trunk mat, spare tire, jack assembly
