This is a color unposted team photo postcard of the 1948 National League pennant-winning Boston Braves. They had a 91-65 record, led by future Hall of Famer Warren Spahn and Johnny Sain with a combined thirty-nine victories. Their successes led to the slogan, "Spahn and Sain and pray for rain!"

The team was managed by future Hall of Famer Billy Southworth. In the World Series the Cleveland Indians defeated the Braves in six games. In 1952, the team moved from Boston and became the Milwaukee Braves.

There is a small stain on the reverse, it can be seen on the obverse, but it is not nearly as noticeable, please see the photos.
